Indians searching for a Singapore business visa will not find one. What Singapore offers instead is a Short-Term Visit Pass that can be issued as a two-year multiple-entry visa. How to get it.

Singapore Does Not Have a "Business Visa." It Has Something Better for Frequent Visitors.

Indian business travellers searching for a Singapore business visa will not find one, because it does not exist as a separate category. What Singapore offers instead is often more useful. A short-term visit pass that can be issued as a multiple-entry visa, which a frequent visitor can use for two years without reapplying.

For an HNI or a business traveller who touches Singapore several times a year, that is the option worth understanding.

How Business Travel Actually Works

Business travel to Singapore runs on the Short-Term Visit Pass, the same framework that covers tourism. There is no distinct business-visa stamp. What changes for a frequent traveller is the multiple-entry grant. Rather than a single-use visa, you can be issued one valid for a longer period, letting you enter repeatedly for meetings or deal-making without a fresh application each time.

The Two-Year Multiple-Entry Visa

The prize for a repeat visitor is the two-year multiple-entry visa, which Singapore now grants fairly readily to Indians with a clean record after one or two successful trips. Each entry allows a stay of up to thirty days, and there is no cap on how many times you come and go across the two years. For someone with regular Singapore business, it removes the recurring friction of applying and paying every visit.

The path to it is straightforward. Travel first on standard visas, keep the record clean by entering and leaving within your permitted stay, and the longer multiple-entry grant becomes likely on a later application.

When You Need More Than a Visit Pass

A visit pass, however long its validity, is still for visits. It does not let you work, run a company on the ground, or base yourself in Singapore. If your plans go beyond travelling in for business and actually operating there, you are looking at a different instrument, an employment pass or an entrepreneur pass, which we cover separately for founders.

For the traveller whose Singapore life is meetings rather than residence, the two-year multiple-entry visit pass is usually all you need, and far more than the single-entry visa most people apply for by default.
