Quick Answer

Denmark visa applicants in New Delhi now visit VFS Global House at 27 KG Marg, Connaught Place, following January 2026 relocation from Shivaji Stadium Metro Station

Denmark VFS Centre Completes Move to Central Delhi Location

The Denmark VFS Visa Application Centre in New Delhi has relocated from Shivaji Stadium Metro Station to VFS Global House at 27 Kasturba Gandhi (KG) Marg, Connaught Place, with the transition completed in January 2026. This shift affects thousands of Indian travelers applying for Denmark visas and other Schengen countries processed at the joint centre.

Indian Denmark visa applicants now have a more centrally located facility in the heart of Connaught Place. VFS Global implemented the shift in stages to ensure visa services continued smoothly during the changeover.

Timeline of the Relocation Process

For Denmark applicants, the final day of accepting applications at Shivaji Stadium was January 9, 2026, with new applications processed at the KG Marg centre from January 12. However, passport collection continued at the old Shivaji Stadium location until January 16, after which all services operated exclusively from KG Marg starting January 19.

The phased approach meant applicants with existing appointments weren't left stranded. VFS Global provided a complimentary courtesy transfer service for a limited time for those who arrived at the former Shivaji Stadium location.

New Address Details

The complete new address is:

VFS Global House
27, Kasturba Gandhi (KG) Marg
Connaught Place
New Delhi – 110001

This location puts the Denmark visa centre right in the commercial heart of New Delhi, making it easily accessible via metro and other public transport. The facility is significantly more central than the previous Shivaji Stadium location.

Which Countries Are Affected

The relocation affects applicants for Croatia, Denmark, Malta, Finland, Iceland, Slovenia, Norway, and Sweden. The Schengen centre for these countries, along with the UK & Ireland centre, now operates from VFS Global House at KG Marg.

The Denmark Embassy continues to process all visa applications at its location on Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, but applicants must submit documents at the new VFS centre.

Processing Times Remain Unchanged

Despite the location change, the Embassy's processing time remains 15 days when all required documentation has been provided. The transportation time from VFS to the Embassy is not included in this 15-day period, and in cases requiring further enquiries, maximum processing time is 45 calendar days.

What Indian Travelers Need to Know

The relocation doesn't change application requirements or fees. Indian citizens still need to:

  • Complete the online application at the official Denmark portal
  • Pay visa fees online before booking appointments
  • Book an appointment with VFS Global to submit their application, as walk-ins are no longer possible.
  • Provide biometric data at the centre

Applicants must complete the online application process including payment before booking with VFS, and should allow up to 24 hours after completing the online application before booking an appointment.

Contact Information Updated

For Denmark visa queries, applicants can contact:

  • VFS Denmark Helpline: +91-22-67866009 (active from 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday)
  • VFS Denmark Email: info.denmarkin@vfshelpline.com
  • Embassy Visa Helpline: +91-11-4209 0751 (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 02:00PM – 03:00 PM)

Part of Broader VFS Restructuring

The Delhi relocation follows similar adjustments elsewhere in the country, including the Austrian Visa Application Centre in Mumbai which relocated to Mahalaxmi in January 2026. European chambers of commerce welcomed the upgrade, noting that smoother visa logistics support growing India-EU trade flows.

What SaathiVisa Recommends

Visit the new KG Marg location well before your appointment time to familiarize yourself with the area. Connaught Place can be crowded, so factor in extra travel time.

Double-check your appointment confirmation email for the correct address – some applicants may still have old confirmations referencing Shivaji Stadium. VFS Global advises applicants to carefully review appointment letters and confirm centre addresses before travelling.

The new location offers better connectivity, but parking in Connaught Place is limited. Consider using Delhi Metro (Rajiv Chowk station) for the most convenient access.

If you have upcoming Denmark visa appointments, ensure you're visiting 27 KG Marg, not the old Shivaji Stadium address. Services at the former location have completely ceased.
