Supporting Documents:

1. If Employed:

  • Leave Sanctioned Certificate: with company seal providing approval for leave
  • Salary Slips: of last 3 months

2.If Self Employed:

  • Business Proof: Registration License/MOA/Partnership deed
  • Company Bank Statement: stamped & updated for last 6 months with bank seal
  • Company’s Income Tax Returns: of last 3 years

3. If Retired:

  • Retirement Proof: pension book, statement etc

4. If Student

  • ID Card: from school, college or institute

5. If Minor

  • Birth Certificate showing the names of both parents
  • Legalized Letter of Consent (NOC)
  • If the child is travelling with one parent, the letter of consent authorizing travel must be legalized by the other parent
  • If the child is travelling alone or without either parent, a notarized letter of consent from both parents permitting travel
  • Death Certificate: in case one or both parents are deceased
  • ID Proof: of parents

6. If Visiting friend or relative

  • Invitation letter: stating the relationship with the inviter and purpose of visiting the country & assuring the responsibility for housing and related expenses during the guest's stay in Algeria
  • ID Proof of Inviter: Passport or Resident Permit
  • Address Proof of Inviter: Utility bill

7. If Sponsored

  • Sponsorship Letter: providing the name of the visitors, what the purpose of the visit is, relationship with the visitors, length of stay, dates of travel & any other additional information if necessary
  • ID Proof of Inviter: Passport or Resident Permit
  • Address Proof of Inviter: Utility bill
  • Proof of Financial Support: updated bank statement, pay slips

8. For Business Visa

  • One of the Chambers of Commerce and Industries, government of India;
  • Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India;
  • Export Promotion Council of India; or Reference number from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Afghanistan.
  • Income tax documents of the last three years;

Do I need a visa for Uganda?

Yes, all Indian passport holders require a visit to visit Uganda. All visitors from India need to obtain entry visas online, prior to arrival. It is the simplest and the fastest way to get your visa. An Electronic Visa or "e Visa" is an electronically issued and stored authority for travel to The Republic of Uganda, which replaces the traditional paper visa process in most cases, relieving applicants from necessity to stand in queues in Uganda consulates or at the border.

What is the validity of a Uganda Visa for Indians?

Tourist and business single entry visas are only valid up to three (3) months upon arrival. For all the multiple entry visas, however, you can be granted validity for either six months, one year or 2 years after arrival.

What is the eligibility criteria for a Multiple entry visa?

There are three sub-categories; 6 months and 12 months and 24 months First time applicants can only be granted a 6 months Multiple-Entry Visa and must have proof of having travelled to Uganda, at least five times within a period of one year immediately preceding their application. They should always ensure to apply for a 6 months Multiple-Entry Visa. They will be able to apply for more time upon expiration of the 6 months. Applicants who have continually travelled to Uganda over a period of more than one year can apply for a period exceeding 6 months, that is, 12 and 24 months. And they must also have proof of continuous legal travel in and out of the country to that effect. For any of the applications, whether 6 months or more, one must have proof of continuous travel into the country in the stated period of time if their application to be considered. Any person who applies for a period beyond which they do not qualify, will if approved, only be granted a visa commensurate to the time they qualify for.

The Uganda visa is processed online within 10 working days.

How will I receive the Uganda visa online?

The decision taken on the application will be sent electronically through the email provided by the applicant.If approved, an approval letter will be sent as an attachment to the email provided. The eVisa must be presented upon crossing the state border of Uganda along with the valid travel document.
