How long is a China Visa valid for?

A Single and Double entry China Visa is valid for 90 days from issuance. You can enter China within the validity of 90 days from the date of issue (please note the time difference between China and India). And from the date of your entry, you can stay in China for 30 days (the duration period is written on the visa label).

You can apply for a China Visa one month before your intended date of entry Into China.

What is the difference between a China tourist Visa and China business Visa?

China Visas are issued according to the purpose of the trip; either for tourism or business activities. In general, "tourist" visas are issued specifically for the purpose of travel for pleasure, while "business" visas generally permits a traveller to engage in normal business-related activities (sales meetings, visiting a factory, negotiating agreements, etc.)

What is the number of entries? What should I do if I have used up all the entries?

China Visa’s number of entries refers to the number of times the visa holder can make entry into China within the validity period of the Visa. A China Visa is normally issued with single entry, double entries or multiple entries. Single entry or double entries visa will expire after the times are used up. If you go to China again you will need a new visa. If the entries have not been used up but the visa has expired because the visa has reached the end of its validity period, you will need to apply for a new China Visa. Anyone holding an expired visa that goes to China will be refused entry at the border. It is essential that you check carefully the number of entries and make sure your visa is valid.

What is the relationship between the validity of a China Visa, number of entries and duration of stay?

Validity of a China Visa refers to the period within which the visa holder is allowed to enter China. The number of entries refers to the number of times the visa holder is permitted to enter China within the visa’s validity. Duration of stay refers to the longest period the visa holder is allowed to stay in China on each visit, and this is counted from the day following entry into China. When all the permitted entries are used up, the visa will no longer be valid. Even if there are unused entries, the visa will no longer be valid if the validity has already expired. In either case, the visa holder should apply for a new visa if another visit to China is planned. The holder of a visa is eligible to enter China at any time prior to the expiry of its validity (allowed to enter China before midnight Beijing Time on the last date of its validity) provided that permitted entries on the visa have not been used up; the holder’s planned duration of stay in China must not exceed the duration stated on the visa.
